Along our journey to establish a designated fund for youth services and programs in the City of Sacramento (Measure G 2020), I was made a subject for an award-winning documentary made in partnership with The California Endowment. Watch as PBS SoCal/KCET producers follow youth advocates from around California to get an inside look at community-led initiatives with young people at the forefront.

Although it was a pleasure being able to share parts of my story, the next time around (Measure L 2022) I wanted to highlight some of our partner organization's work and youth perspectives as we continue to strengthen our narrative on what we believe public safety looks and feels like.

Sacramento Children's Fund [2024]

Nearly two years after securing a victory on the ballot in 2022, the newly established Sacramento Children's Fund commissioners successfully passed a plan to guide the city council as to where funds should be allocated. Much love to those who have laid the groundwork to make this possible and much thanks to all those who have supported throughout the implementation process. This WIN will let future generations know that they have the power to take part in change and ultimately have a seat at the table.
